THE S.T.R.I.V.E. PROGRAM
The S.T.R.I.V.E. Acronym:
V: Valor & Virtue
The mission of the S.T.R.I.V.E. Program is to inspire and educate the youth of Quebec in four distinctive domains: wellness, life skills, civics, and leadership. The Kentokukan School for the development of virtue and morals offers Martial Arts as the medium through which this knowledge is delivered.
The target audience for S.T.R.I.V.E. are students between the ages of six and sixteen. The focus of the program is on marginalized or at risk students within the school community, however, the program is inclusive, and everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate.
The goals are twofold:
- Student excellence, leading to Primary and Secondary success.
- To promote continuing education, personal growth, and a commitment to community service.
The S.T.R.I.V.E. Team is committed to working with our youth within the school community, combining our knowledge and resources with school administrators and staff.
The S.T.R.I.V.E. Program focuses on 4 Domains within a student. By targeting these areas, the goal is to help students become stable and well rounded individuals in all aspects of their lives.
The 4 Domains are:
